Getting Here

By Air: Local airports, La Rochelle is 40 miles from our gite (50 minutes), Poitiers (1Hr 15Mins), Bordeaux (1 Hr 30 mins), Nantes (1 Hr 50 mins) and Limoges (2 Hrs). All have good links to the network of Autoroutes. Low cost flights are available to all airports from London Stansted, London Gatwick, Southampton, Edinburgh, Bristol, East Midlands and many other UK airports.

By Rail: From the UK you can take Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord and then the TGV from Montparnasse to Niort or Surgeres from which you can either hire a car to complete your journey or jump on the SNCF train service to Loulay and we can collect you.

By Sea: The channel port at St Malo is 4 Hours from our gite, Cherbourg 5 Hours, Caen 5 Hours and Le Havre 6 Hours. These ports can be reached by ferries from the UK, Newhaven, Poole, Portsmouth and Plymouth and also by ferries from Rosslare and Cork in Ireland.

By Road: Calais is about 7 hours (450 miles) away, you can get to Calais Eurotunnel from Folkstone or use one of the ferry operators from Dover to the Port of Calais.
