Our holiday cottage has been lovingly created with a desire to give our guests a comfortable vacation so memorable that they will return year after year.

The overall living space is around 70 square metres over two floors.

Downstairs is the beautiful living / kitchen area complete with CD sound system, DVD player, 80 cm HD flat screen TV (with UK Freesat Channels), electric oven, gas hob, microwave, washing machine, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board. A number of books, CD's, DVD's and games are also provided.

The cottage benefits from free WiFi / Internet access.

Upstairs we have two bedrooms, one is a double and the other has two single beds. Both rooms have ample storage spaces for clothes and other personal belongings. Completing the upstairs is the bathroom with toilet, washbasin and a power shower.

For families of more than four we have a double sofa bed available downstairs in the property.

For very young children we have a number of cuddly toys we can provide, along with a high chair, baby bath and for safety a gate is fitted at the top of the stairs.

The outside space around the cottage totals around 300 square metres, included in this to the front is a covered outdoor eating area complete with barbeque, to the side of the property is a hard standing area to be used for late evening meals and drinks, facing west, taking in the end of the day sunshine and stunning views of the village.

Around the cottage there is plenty of space for parking your car, and setting up your sun loungers whilst the children play safely at the rear of the cottage or on the field above the main house.

The cottage, main house, heated pool and garden occupies a total land area of 2,000 square metres.

Above the main house is the main garden and heated swimming pool, a fresh water pool of 9 metres x 4 metres x 1.5 metres deep and available from around nine in the morning until late at night (from around the middle of May until late October). The pool is fully alarmed to comply with regulations. Please note that the pool maybe shared if we have any family or friends staying with us.

Various loungers, chairs, tables, umbrellas, water floats, balls are available for use around the pool.

The house is south facing, so the sun rises to the left side of the property (above the pool) and by mid morning the entire property is bathed in sunshine. You can then watch the sun setting to the right front of the cottage late at night.

From the minute we found La Miellerie online we knew it was what we wanted, and the reality when we arrived surpassed our expectations. The gite is absolutely everything a family needs; with two teenagers constantly hooked onto the wifi whilst relaxing by the pool or enjoying the freedom of splashing about in a lilo fight in the pool, we were able to lie back and sunbathe in the glorious heat with just the occassional chicken passing by the waterside. Long days and evenings outside the gite drinking and dining on the terrace are calm with only the church bells as a reminder of passing time.
Shops within easy driving distance for daily provisions and empty lanes for early morning jogging before the heat takes a grip. Easy reach of beaches for day trips.
Beautiful place and fantastic people, we couldnt have asked for anything more. Hugely recommend it to those wanting a peaceful escape.

We can't believe how lucky we were to find your gite on the internet - it was everything we wanted. The four of us didn't want to leave such an idyllic place. Alison, Stewart and Shannon were so kind and helpful and great fun! They recommended places to go to and even lent us a map to make sure we arrived safely. there are not many owners who on finding we hadn't eaten when we arrived late and all the shops were shut, would bring round ingredients out of their own kitchen so.that we could make omelettes to enjoy.
